A new rate for the same pay type and customer ends the old one the day before it starts, so payroll always uses the rate that was in effect. Grey rows are company defaults (set under Pay & billing types below). Which rate applies: this driver on that account (a DC, then its main customer) › that account's driver pay (Customers page) › this driver on all customers › company default. A rate on a main customer (e.g. Whole Foods) covers all its DCs unless a DC has its own.

Pay & billing types
One list of the work that gets paid and/or billed. Tick Pay driver and/or Bill customer and set the defaults; a driver's own rate (on their record) beats the pay default. Each = per time it happens (fueling, strapping…); % of revenue is pay only. Only chosen customers = it pays and bills only on customers that turn it on (Customers page › Activities & driver pay), where you can also set that customer's price and driver pay. Miles, stops, days, hours and loads are billed from each customer's rate sheet or contract, so leave their Bill side off.

Driver app sign-in
Drivers don't use passwords. At onboarding, show the QR code on their record and they scan it; that phone stays signed in. If a phone gets signed out (new phone, cleared browser), the driver scans their reset card and enters their reset PIN, any time of day. Every card use shows on Home so dispatch can check in.
With the CDL option, tell drivers to keep the card in the truck and their license with them, so one lost item isn't enough to get in.
